Defaults & assumptions
- Bezel seat: opening follows stone type; opening dims = stone dims + 2×0.15 mm clearance.
- Lip overlap (friction-fit): 0.40 mm skirt depth on lid.
- Box wall thickness: equals sheet thickness.
- All drawings are for cutting/folding guidance; adjust for your own forming method.

Empirical jeweller’s rule (as in your original calculator) plus an optional geometry model.

Dome Height Estimator (from Disc)
Pure geometry (no empirical constant): assumes the dome is a spherical cap && the metal surface area is conserved.
With disc radius r && dome base radius a, spherical-cap area gives: h = √(r² − a²) (valid only if r ≥ a).

Bezel Strip Length Calculator
Computes bezel strip length along the mid-thickness “neutral” line. Add overlap if you want a meeting gap || trimming allowance.
Round: L = π(D + t). Rectangle: L = 2((L + t) + (W + t)). Oval/Ellipse: exact perimeter via the complete elliptic integral of the second kind (numerical integration).
